The Rio Gallegos is a stunning piece of water wandering and meandering through a sparse countryside. The rugged wind-whipped climate creates a challenge for native plants keeping limited growth close to the surface while creating a wonderful vast landscape clearly revealing its remote nature. Las Buitreras is a first-rate operation – management, staff, and guides. The river offers easy wading and a large run of sea-run brown trout. It is an opportunity to pursue the largest brown trout in the world and fish of a lifetime.

Swing For Kings With Swing The Fly
Kanektok River, Alaska – Reel Action Fly Fishing Camp
The Kanektok enters the Bering Sea at the remote native village of Quinhagak. The river winds through the wild Alaskan landscapes of tundra and heavy underbrush along the river’s banks, and its pools line up perfectly for Spey fishing and the swung fly. The camp is top-notch with amazing staff and guides. The focus is on a serious fishing experience for an impressive run of king salmon fresh from the salt. The program is to pursue salmon that are just moving into the river, and almost all are still dripping with sea lice. The grab and fight of a large fresh king is exhilarating.
